Start by making the sticky sauce by adding the ingredients into a saucepan, bring to a rolling boil then leave to cool. Be generous with the sauce.
For the crispy chicken, cut into bite sized pieces and toss in cornflour and season wioth salt and milled pepper.
Beat an egg with a little water, and in a separate bowl add plain flour garlic powder and paprika.
Toss the chicken in the egg then into the seasoned flour and fry at 180*c until crisp, golden and cooked through.
Place the chicken into a serving bowl, pour over some of the sauce and serve with shredded spring onions and sesame seeds and a side of fried Chinese greens with ginger and garlic and jasmine rice.
